Bayern Munich capped off a historic UEFA Champions League group stage campaign with a commanding 3-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, becoming only the seventh team to win all six games in the competition's history.
Former Arsenal forward Serge Gnabry led the charge for Bayern, scoring four goals in a 7-2 thrashing of Tottenham on Matchday 2. However, Bayern coach Niko Kovac was equally impressed by his team's overall performance.
"We played very well as a team," Kovac said. "We created a lot of chances and took our opportunities." Bayern put Tottenham to the sword on Matchday 2, and their victory on Wednesday ensured they finished the group stage with a perfect six wins out of six. The German giants can now look forward to a favorable draw in the knockout stages.
