Fatal Motorcycle Crashes Claim Lives in Louisville
Victims Identified, Investigations Underway
Corey Smith (32)
Corey Smith, a Louisville man, tragically lost his life in a motorcycle crash on Sunday at the intersection of Outer Loop and Robbs Lane. Blunt force injuries were determined to be the cause of death by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.
Daniel Whitney (70)
Daniel Whitney, a 70-year-old man, succumbed to injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash in east Louisville on Thursday afternoon. The Jefferson County Coroner's Office released his identity on Thursday night.
Unidentified Man (30)
A 30-year-old man, whose identity has not yet been released, was killed in a motorcycle crash on Tuesday morning. According to the Fayette County Coroner's Office, the accident occurred around 10:30 AM.
Unidentified Man (40)
A 40-year-old man, whose identity is also unknown, died after losing control of his motorcycle on Interstate 64 on Friday morning. The Louisville Metro Police Department reported the incident.
Unidentified Man (42)
Another man, 42-year-old Gregory Murphy, died due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash on Westport Road on January 15, 2022. Officials from LMPD's 8th Division responded to the call.

In a separate incident, a 42-year-old man was injured in a motorcycle accident in Campbellsville on Wednesday evening. The man, identified as Jodie Dotson, lost control of his motorcycle while traveling on Lone Valley Road.
